GE Johnson Celebrates with St. John’s Health for the Sage Living Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony

A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held Wednesday, August 11 to celebrate the grand opening of St. John’s Health Sage Living facility.

The event was advertised as a home warming for the public to see the building that garnered significant community investment, and included a ribbon cutting ceremony for the grand opening. General contractor GE Johnson broke ground on the 72,000-square-foot building, designed by Anderson Mason Dale Architects, in July 2019.

The new building, adjacent to St. John’s Hospital, will provide two 20-bed, long-term care neighborhoods and a memory support neighborhood. Hospice care will be available in all three long-term care neighborhoods. In addition, the center will house a 16-bed transitional care unit for patients requiring short-term rehabilitation after a surgery or other medical events such as stroke.

“GE Johnson and St. John’s have partnered on multiple projects over the last 20 years.  We were fortunate to be a part of the administration/ER addition in 2002 and we are thrilled to have been a part of this new facility. Sage Living will provide great support and a number of needed essential services for the Jackson community,” said Anthony Fasciano, construction executive at GE Johnson.
