The Big Picture

The ultra-modern, 77,000-square-foot Munger Mountain Elementary School is located just south of Jackson, Wyoming, at the foot of Munger Mountain. It features flexible classrooms, a multipurpose room that can function as a gym, a cafeteria, and collaborative spaces for small group work and study. The building is equipped with wi-fi, security entrance vestibules, and an array of 72 solar panels with real-time monitors that show students how much energy the panes are generating. The school can accommodate 588 students in the dual immersion program.

Ingenuity in Action

In addition to an elementary sized multipurpose room/gymnasium,  and outdoor soccer field/multi-use athletic fields, the school has a new pedestrian underpass and got additional playground equipment. All of these features were incorporated through careful planning and collaboration with the school district to ensure the project met the budget.  Five estimating milestones were critical to meeting the budget goal without sacrificing amenities for the students.
